Our lab is dedicated to understanding the molecular pathways leading to cardiovascular disorders. Our approach goes from identifying genetic variants associated with human pathophysiological states to studying their effects in cellular models, in animal models and in human cells and tissues.
Dr. Frederique Tesson

Frédérique Tesson, Ph.D.

Frédérique Tesson is a molecular geneticist and Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa. She teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Before joining the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2009, she worked at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and at the Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, France. She also studied and completed her Ph.D. of Sciences in Paris. She is a Committee Member of the College of Reviewers from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Her research team comprises students from both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Lab Facilities

The Tesson Laboratory is located at the University of Ottawa’s Roger Guindon Hall room RGN2117 and is part of the Health Sciences Laboratories facility.
